William Hancock

William HancockWilliam, a Southwold resident, is the owner and Managing Director of JBM Meats Limited, which he and his wife Tessa established 20 years ago.  The company is engaged in the import and exports of meat and foodstuffs. Bill qualified in Meat and Food Technology at Manchester Poly-Tech in 1973, and up until 1995, he held senior management positions with several large meat processing companies throughout the UK. He was instrumental in developing Bernard Matthews’ Red Meat business in the 1980’s, and within three years achieved a sales turnover of £38 million.  Bill and Tessa continue to run their business whilst Bill, who is passionate about the environment and bird photography in particular, currently writes bird articles for a local magazine.
